Place: Nokita Beach (Fukuoka, Japan) Time: 14:50 to 15:30 Sail size: 5.3 m2 Board volume: 94 L Wind: Southwest, Left side-shore, Gusty Sea conditions: Medium-sized waves Soon after I sailed out, the wind weakened steeply.

Place: Ohbaru Beach (Fukuoka, Japan) Time: 18:00 to 18:30 Sail size: 5.3 m2 Board volume: 94 L Wind: Southeast, Right side-shore, Gusty Sea conditions: Slightly choppy The typhoon provided us with a rare wind, but it's extremely hot and humid during the daytime. I waited for the drop in air temperature, and enjoyed windsurfing for only 30 min. around dusk.

The beach from which getting out was possible was limited. After getting out, I realized that even a 4.2-square-meter sail would suffice.

I should have traveled to Karatsu, where I would have been able to enjoy planing with a 5.8-square-meter sail and a 94-liter board.
