Place: Ohbaru Beach (Fukuoka, Japan) Time: 13:45 to 15:30 Sail size: 5.8 m2 → 5.3 m2 Board volume: 94 L Wind: Northeast, Onshore Sea conditions: Small waves Perfect conditions. It's sunny with air temperature around 25 degrees Celsius, the wind enjoyable, and waves waist-high.

Place: Kaoi Surf (Fukuoka, Japan) Time: 12:00 to 14:00 Sail size: 5.8 m2 → 6.3 m2 Board volume: 94 L Wind: Northeast, Right Cross-onshore Sea conditions: Annoying floating seaweed I started with a 5.8-sq-m sail, but the wind turned out to be not sufficient, and I planed only 100 meters. Out of frustration, I decided to use a 6.3-sq-m sail. While I was changing the rig, the wind got weaker. I misjudged the wind today.

Place: Fukuma Beach (Fukuoka, Japan) Time: 13:30 to 15:30 Sail size: 5.3 m2 Board volume: 94 L Wind: Northeast, Right Cross-offshore Sea conditions: Flat, small waves The Fukuma beach can be called the mecca for windsurfers in Fukuoka. Several windsurfing shops are in operation along the coast. I think there were over 100 windsurfers today.  After I de-rigged the sail, the wind got stronger and became side-shore...  

Place: Nokita Beach (Fukuoka, Japan) Time: 13:30 to 15:30 Sail size: 6.3 m2 Board volume: 94 L Wind: South, Left Cross-offshore Sea conditions: Slightly choppy The wind was not so satisfactory, but the sea was crystal-clear. A total of 4 windsurfers enjoyed windsurfing here on a beautiful sunny day.

Place: Ohbaru Beach (Fukuoka, Japan) Time: 14:00 to 15:30 Sail size: 6.3 m2 Board volume: 105 L Wind: Northwest, Left Sideshore Sea conditions: Lull The wind was calm, but air temperature rose steeply. With a slim hope that the sea breeze would get stronger, I sailed out. I ended up cruising at the speed of walking, but I was able to plane only 50 meters and jibe with a gust of wind.

I enjoyed planing while being careful not to hit floating trash.
